Who We Are
Our story

Serving with a Greater Purpose!
The calling God placed on my heart goes beyond serving meals. Sol-Food-Comfortz Feeding Ministry Kitchen was created to show the love and compassion of Jesus Christ through every meal we prepare and every person we serve. While we desire to meet the physical needs of those facing hunger and homelessness, we also pray that lives will be touched spiritually—that people will come to know Jesus Christ, accept Him into their hearts, and experience the hope, grace, love, and new life found in Him. Our prayer is that through our service, others will receive not only food for the body, but also be drawn to Jesus, the Bread of Life.
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” — Colossians 3:23
Meet the Heart Behind the Ministry
My name is Rachel, founder and president of Sol-Food-Comfortz Feeding Ministry Kitchen. At the center of my life is my personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He is my Lord and Savior, the One I love, trust, depend on, and seek for guidance in every area of my life. My faith is more than something I profess—it is something I strive to live out each day. My relationship with Jesus has shaped my heart for serving others and taught me that showing His love means putting that love into action.
More of My Story
I love God, I love people, and I believe that serving others is one of the greatest ways we can demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
Cooking has always been close to my heart. I learned the importance of preparing food with love from my mother, and over the years, the kitchen became much more than a place to cook—it became a place where I could care for people. I believe a good meal can bring comfort, restore dignity, create connection, and remind someone that they have not been forgotten.
When I serve, I don't want to simply hand someone a plate of food. I want every person we encounter to feel welcomed, respected, valued, and loved. Whether I am planning a meal, standing over the stove preparing food, serving a plate, or talking with someone who may be going through a difficult season, I want the compassion of Christ to be reflected in everything I do.
As the founder of this ministry, my desire is to lead with faith, compassion, integrity, and a servant's heart. I am grateful for every person God allows us to serve and for every volunteer, supporter, family member, and community partner who helps us continue this mission.
Sol-Food-Comfortz Feeding Ministry Kitchen is more than food to me. It is faith put into action—one meal, one person, and one act of love at a time.
"Let all that you do be done with love." — 1 Corinthians 16:14
